Set up
- Make 2 lanes side by side, about 20 yards long. In each lane put 4 cones in a line, 2 to 3 yards apart.
- Put a small goal about 5 yards past the last cone. A cone beside the lane, 3 to 4 yards from the goal, marks the shooting line.
- Two teams line up at the start of their lane, every player with a ball.
- Space
- 2 lanes side by side, about 20 yards long
- You need
- 2 small pop-up goals · 10 cones · 1 ball per player
How to play
- On “Go!”, the first player of each team dribbles in and out of the cones.
- After the last cone, pass the ball into the goal from behind the shooting line.
- Get your ball and dribble back on the outside of the lane, then high-five the next player.
- First team to score 10 goals wins. Race again, now using only the weaker foot.
Coaching points
- Small touches through the cones, with both feet.
- Look up after the last cone: where is the goal?
- Pass it in with the inside of the foot. Aim beats power.
- Hurry back! The next player can only go after your high-five.
Easier
Use fewer cones, spread wider apart, and no shooting line.
Harder
Weaker foot only, or the last player of the other team stands in the goal as a keeper.
