Questions
Lineup maker questions
Is the lineup maker really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no ads and no trial. ClearSoccer is free forever for coaches, players and families; clubs can pay a small fee for one view of all their teams.
How does it make playing time fair?
It shares out the lineups so every player gets the same number, give or take one. It avoids sitting the same kid twice in a row when it can, and the goalkeeper spot takes turns.
Do you keep my players’ names?
Only if you tap Save. Until then the names stay in the browser on your device: to work out the rotation, our server only gets the format and numbered players, never names, and keeps nothing. Save keeps your players and rotation under a code so you can open them again; a save nobody opens for a year is deleted.
Can I save my rotation without an account?
Yes. Tap Save and type your email: you get a code (we email it too) that opens your rotation again on any phone or computer. No account needed. If you make a free account later, add the code under Account and it comes along.
Can I print the rotation?
Yes. “Print rotation sheet” makes one page with every lineup by position and who sits, like a paper rotation sheet. Most phones can print it or save it as a PDF.
How many players are on the field in 9v9?
9: 8 field players and a keeper. US Soccer’s small-sided standards use 9v9 for U11 and U12. Check your league’s rules, they can differ.
What if a player can’t play in goal, or loves it?
Tap the player’s name under Playing time. Pick the lines they like, or switch on “Never in goal”, then tap Shuffle.
Can I keep my team and use it every week?
Yes, with a free account. It keeps your roster, every game and every lineup, and it gives the extra minutes to the kids who sat more last time, so it evens out over the season.
